Outage 3:30am-11:00am 30th April 2009

We had an outage from 3:30am UTC until 08:00am after the upgrade of a product and then had a further outage from about 09:00am until 11:00am. Things should be back to normal now, however we reverted the database to one from about 3:30am as a precautionary measure so will have lost any changes made in the period from 8:00am until 9:00am.

We apologise for this and are reviewing our upgrade process to avoid a repeat if possible.

Wednesday 18 March 2009

Operating at 100%

Apologies for that, a little attention to a poorly server and a delay while it caught up with its processing and everything should be running at 100% again now.

If however you know differently then please email us at support@itoworld.com!

Problems with OSM import

We are having problems with the server that processes the daily imports of OSM data and are on-site this morning to work out what is going wrong. The most recent OSM data available at present is for Saturday 14th March.

Tuesday 10 March 2009

Operating at 100%

We believe our services at itoworld should be fully operational at present. If you know differently then please email us at support@itoworld.com!

ITO1, which caused problems for us in late January was removed a few weeks ago and the new servers are running well. We also did a big software upgrade to OSM Mapper last Thursday which went without a hitch.

Maintenance: 00:00 to 06:00 25th Jan 08

Following the air-con problem yesterday it turned out that our elderly server ITO1, which has been performing front line service since we started the company, was not well. We were aware it was pretty heat-sensitive and had already purchased and two installed new fast heat-tolerant replacements with a switch-over scheduled in the next few days. We decided to bring this forward and completed it last night (UK time). ITO1 will now go into museum service and two new servers have taken up the strain.

It is likely, however that we missed an OSM update last night for the second day running last night and are therefore still running with Thursday's OSM dataset.

Outage 24th Jan 2009 04:00 UTC to 15:00 UTC

We had an outage today from 04:00 until about 14:00 on the 24th Jan 2009. This was caused by a air conditioning failure at our hosting company which caused problems with one of our servers which was position in a hot-spot within the server room.

We apologise for any inconvenience and assure you we take such outages of our services very seriously. This is our longest outage for well over a year and we are making a number of urgent changes to reduce the chances of a repeat performance.

In future do check itostatus.blogspot.com for details of any outage if you cannot access our site. If you spot a problem we haven't reported then please email us at support@itoworld.com.

We believe our services are now back to 100% again.
